Realised belatedly that I'd brought neither my psp nor the ds home (was planning to GH3 like there's no tomorrow, see)... So I was left with no other source of entertainment other than reading. Dug out all the books that I bought on a whim, and came across a bilingual copy of Pride and Prejudice (probably my mom's?). Read it for a bit, came across a particularly funny translation:

"Mr Bennet, how can you abuse your own daughters in such a way? You take delight in vexing me. You have no pity on my poor nerves."

"You mistake me, my dear. I have a high respect for your nerves. They are my old friends. I have heard you mention them these twenty years."

I don't really like to read Chinese, but I found the exchange quite amusing... was a bit curious as to how it'll be phrased in Chinese, so I looked:

“班尼啊！你怎能如此毁谤你自己的女儿？你就是喜欢激怒我，从不体谅我。”

“亲爱的，你误会了，我一向体谅你的，她们是我的老朋友，我已知道这些达二年之久了。”

她们？？？Either the nerves are feminine, or the translator totally missed the joke... or my Chinese is just real bad and I thought they made a funny mistake. Maaaaaybe. Dunno.

Anyway... since all forms of entertainment were stuck in hall, I decided to return back to The Deserted Island a.k.a the lovely university that I go to. Did some shopping with my mom before I returned (no I haven't outgrown that yet... haha), and am decidedly a whole lot happier.

One more week to the IHGs... I'll be playing squash and probably hockey! The draw for squash = bad stuff, but there's still hope for hockey... just that I still. Don't. Get. What. I'm. Supposed. To. Do!!!! Argh... time to read up a bit maybe. But first... it's time to sleep cos I'm getting hungry.

And I unintentionally missed the class outing today. SOMEONE REMIND ME NEXT TIME?? :(

I'm finally over the more hellish part of life... it was bad, but it's over, so it's time to catch up on everything else (like sleep... severely deprived of)!

Haircut: Desperately need one, getting one later... I look like hell.

F-list: Sorry guys I'm obviously very, very behind... I'll now have the time to read and comment and everything!! :D

Shows: Someone pls recommend me something... I know I planned to watch a lot of things but I forgot what there were

People: It's time to meet up!!!! I need to get out of the isolated island of a university where I study and live... quite an inconvenient place. Someone please go shopping with me... I need to start looking better in school, classes are not so skippable next semester ;_; Haha ok what the hell...

Gaming: The time to indulge in all things geeky has come... Should I get GH: World Tour and Taiko?! Get meaning... getting the real thing... yeah for once *gasp* Ok don't roll your eyes now... Gonna try making some progress in FFX, KH and GH3... Feeling really happy right now haha. Replaying T&T too... can't express how much I've missed it! Probably bringing the wii back to hall, this is where my trolley bag comes in handy >_> TV lounge here I come!

Cooking: OK more like baking?? weilingweiling you promised to teach! I'm a good student I swear...

Anime/j-drama: One word... NODAME! Ok maybe Naruto too... he can't be dead oh no :'( I am so heartbroken hahaha. And maybe one of the newer gundam series.

I'm sure there's more to my life (haha no not being defensive, not at all...) but I'm too tired to think of anything else.
